My co-workers were great and supportive of me, as I was of them, and we all worked together to complete large or time-consuming tasks, sparing roles equally and stepping up when something needed to be done. I feel that my communication skills definitely increased and I feel more confident in what I am able to achieve. I learned so much about animals and how to take care of many types, and also learned a lot about the importance of good communication skills. Each shift was 7-8 hours and consisted of feeding animals, cleaning pens and the general area, constant interaction with the public, supervising animals and the interaction between people and animals.
